USAG Competitive Programs
USA Gymnastics (USAG) is the national governing body for gymnastics in the United States. USA Gymnastics sets the rules and policies that govern the sport of gymnastics. Xcel teams, Men's Junior Olympic teams and Women's Junior Olympic teams are all governed by USAG. For more information on the USA Gymnastics, please visit their website at: www.usagym.org. Incline Gymnastics has the following USAG sponsored teams:
Please call Incline Gymnastics for more information and questions regarding any of our team programs at (303) 791-8178.
Xcel Girls Teams
The Xcel program is governed by USA Gymnastics. All rules and policies as well as level requirements and guidelines are determined by the Xcel code of points. With fewer training hours required, the Xcel program may be ideal for an athlete who does multiple sports or desires to have more time outside of the gym for family or school activities. At Incline Gymnastics we host year-round teams in four competitive Xcel levels (Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond), and each level has its own requirements. As athletes continue to develop, they may move through the levels at their own pace. Each athlete who is invited to a team will be placed in a level as determined by IGTC staff. Team opportunities are by invite only.
Girls Development Team
The Girls’ Development Team Program is a highly competitive program for athletes that desire to specialize in the sport of gymnastics. The athletes in this program train anywhere from 12 - 26 hours per week. At Incline Gymnastics, we compete USAG Compulsory levels 4 and 5, and USAG Optional levels 7-10. Compulsory level athletes compete a standard set of routines, choreographed by USA Gymnastics. Optional level athletes compete individualized routines, that include specific skill requirements as set by USA Gymnastics. Compulsory competition season is in the fall (August - December) and Optional competition season is in the winter (January - May). At Incline Gymnastics, our Girls Development Team is geared towards athletes who would like the opportunity to participate in collegiate level athletics. Team opportunities are by invite only.
Boys Development Team
The Boys’ Development Team Program is a competitive program for athletes that want an opportunity to compete in the sport of gymnastics. At Incline Gymnastics our Boys' Team Program competes in levels 3-10. Levels 3 - 7 are considered to be Compulsory levels and Levels 8 - 10 are considered to be Optional levels. The USA Gymnastics Men's season extends from November - May. Our Junior Olympic Boys' Team Program is geared towards athletes who might like the opportunity to participate in collegiate level athletics. Team opportunities are by invite only.
Development Teams are by invitation only. Development Teams are geared towards young athletes who desire to have the opportunity to be invited to join competitive teams in future seasons. Development Teams include Xcel Pre-Team, Jr. & Sr. Development Teams, and Boy's Pre-Team. Athletes in these groups focus on attaining strength, flexibility and skills required for our competitive teams.
Incline Gymnastics occasionally participates in TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program) for female athletes and Future Stars for male athletes. For more information about these programs and their requirements visit www.usagym.org.
